**EDIT/UPDATE APRIL 25 2018**: on the 23rd I had a head on collision with another rider. Suffered several broken bones, cracked others, surgeries, 7 screws, 1 plate, and what must have been gallons of morphine. But my head didn't need a thing. I am now out of the hospital in my bed because my helmet keep me so safe. As if I wasn't sold already. END EDITReceived in a nice carry/protection bag. The blue and white colors really look great and match my Yamaha. The visor has selectable settings and can be removed. The padding is soft and is indeed removable. The helmet is DOT rated however this is not to say that a 400$ helmet wouldn't be better - it would. But for the price you wont find one better next to this Vega. Lost a little star rating because it has no vents on the shell. There are minor vents along the brow of the helmet x4. But they are not selectable to be opened or closed.This helmet saved my brother in laws life! He had an accident and broke numerous bones.. but his head was completely fine thanks to this helmet! The accident did break the visor but his head is fully intact thanks to this helmet!Just what I wanted for my off road riding. I really like the looks of this helmet. Sizing is pretty spot on, just make sure to get a proper measure of your head to find the right size. The price point was perfect, not having to spend hundreds of dollars on a helmet because this does it all.Really nice helmet sizing is perfect not tight and not lose really a comfortable fit good brand with the quality I will probably be replacing my other family members helmets with this brandBought this helmet for my 12 yr old son. I had to tighten the screws holding the visor, as they came loose a few hours into use.
